Which trim?
Scotia (wall perimeter)
A concave trim used against skirting boards or walls. It sits on top of the plank and covers the expansion gap so the floor can move underneath. Pin or glue scotia to the wall (not the floor). Sold in 2.4 m lengths. Waterproof styles suit hybrid and vinyl.
L-trim (edges and vertical finishes)
An L-shaped angle with a longer top sitting on the plank and a 90° face down to the wall. Use it for neat terminations: open edges, sliding door tracks, fireplaces, and other vertical finishes where scotia does not fit. Sold in 2.7 m lengths.
Universal cover (doorways and joins)
A screw-fix cover strip for doorways and joins where floors meet at the same or slightly different heights. Clever-style universal aluminium cover. Sold in 2.7 m lengths. Order extra for doorway cuts.

Colour: pick one or match your planks
- Pick a colour from the product palette (common oak, gum, jarrah, grey, and white looks).
- Colour matched to my plank order when you want the trim aligned to the floor you are buying. Choose that variant, then fill in Matching floor (range + colour, e.g. Big Panda Eclipse / Ghost Oak) so we know what to supply.
Exact dye lots can vary by batch. If you need a perfect showroom match, email us with photos before you order large runs of trim.
How many lengths?
Scotia (2.4 m): measure the wall perimeter that needs covering (metres), divide by 2.4, then add about 10% for cuts and mistakes. Round up to whole lengths.
Example: 28 m perimeter ÷ 2.4 ≈ 11.7 → buy 13 lengths with the 10% buffer.
L-trim and Universal (2.7 m): same idea. Perimeter or doorway run ÷ 2.7, plus ~10%, round up. Doorways eat offcuts; do not under-order universal covers.
Stair nosings
Stairs are a different product. Most DIY customers skip stairs or leave them to a tradie. We do not list stair nosings as add-to-cart items. Email contactus@onlyplanks.com.au with range, colour, and photos. We will advise if a nosing is available for that range. More: Stair nosings.
Freight
